So you are on your own for lodging.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;There is a link &lt;a href="http://erhaccommodations.blogspot.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;here&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; and on the sidebar to the right to a complete list of accommodations from the Dartmouth College website; drive times will be approximately five to ten minutes longer than listed for the college. Here are a few highlighted possibilities:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul  style="text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.hotelcoolidge.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;The Hotel Coolidge&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; in downtown White River Junction (800) 622-1124 or (802) 295-3118 offers the only local accommodations with an ERH connection. [The current owner,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt; Dave Briggs&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;, is an ERH enthusiast and August Zollikofer, who ran the Coolidge for many years, was a personal friend of the Rosenstock-Huessys. Mr. Zollikofer made the Coolidge one of the few places, if not the only place, in Vermont where you could get veal &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-size:100%;" &gt;cordon bleu&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt; in those days. The public rooms at the Coolidge are decorated with murals by Peter "Mike" Gish.] Dave has extended us the "party rate", which is a discount of $10 off the prevailing rate, &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;but you have to ask for it&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;.  That means your cost would be $69 a night Wednesday and Thursday and $79 Friday and Saturday nights.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul  style="text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.hanoverinn.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;The Hanover Inn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; (800-643-4300) has doubles for $260 a  night, and junior suites, whatever they are, for $310 a night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul  style="text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.norwichinn.com/NIWelcme.html"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;The Norwich Inn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; (802-649-1143) has some rooms in the Inn itself as well as in the "Vestry" building out back, at $129 to $149 a night; the "motel unit", which is &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;font-size:100%;" &gt;much&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt; cheaper, is sold out. The Innkeeper's husband brews very good beer and the pub generally has three kinds on tap at any given time. The pub also serves excellent food, but the wait for a table can seem endless... the restaurant generally has no wait, but is much more expensive.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul  style="text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.dowdscountryinn.com/welcome.html"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;Dowds Country Inn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; in Lyme, NH has single-bed rooms at $135 a night and two-bed rooms at $150 a night, regardless of the day of the week;  the rate includes a full breakfast.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul  style="text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.aldencountryinn.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;The Alden Inn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; in Lyme,NH has rooms available at $150 a night for all four nights, and would waive the extra charge for Friday and Saturday nights;  the rate includes a full breakfast&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul  style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);font-size:100%;" &gt;&lt;a style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);" href="http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/LEBRI"&gt;The Marriott Residence Inn&lt;/a&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;(603-643-4511) at Centerra, south of Hanover. Studios and single bed-room suites are $179, two bed-room suites are $219, so a good deal for a share...  although the last people I put up there ran away to the...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul  style="text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.searchhotels.com/us/nh/west_lebanon/sunset_motor_inn.2579.html"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;The Sunset Motor Inn&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; (603-298-8721) south of Hanover on Route 10, about halfway to West Lebanon.  Rooms with a single queen bed are $63 a night on Wednesday and Thursday and $73 a night on Friday and Saturday nights.  Rooms with two beds, either twin or double, are $10 a night more.  Most of the rooms look out on the river, but this is an old-fashioned motel, like the...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ul  style="text-align: justify;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;a style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0);" href="http://www.chieftaininn.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;The Chieftain Motel&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt; (603-643-2550) next to Kendal, north of Hanover. Tell Carl or Jennifer that you are an AAA member and they ask for no further proof.
